PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Thuraya offers quality dual-mode terminals that provide satellite and GSM connectivity. This flexibility ensures continuous and cost-effective roaming for users. Thuraya subscribers may continue using their national land-based mobile network, but will be able to automatically switch to Thuraya satellite mode in areas that are outside the terrestrial system.

Another advantage is that outside Thuraya's regional coverage area, subscribers would still have the convenience of roaming in other GSM networks areas. This combination of advanced and flexible system designs ensures reliable, global mobile services to subscribers.

Thuraya Data Services:

Iridium offers two unique data services with global coverage:

1. Short Message Service (SMS) with text input for
English, Arabic, French, Deutsch, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Hindi, Farsi

2. Optional data kit allows data and fax up to 9600 bps

- One-off start up fee of US$ 59, which includes SIM card + US$10 worth of calls + account validity for 3 months.

- Budget control
 - Call charges are around 25% higher than postpaid charges
- Validity- 3 months +1 month grace allowing incoming calls
- To maintain SIM validity a minimum refill of 39 units is required every 3 months.
