Parker Mesa Overlook from Trippet Ranch (Entrada Rd. off Topanga Canyon Dr.)
Commentary: Start at bottom of the hill. don't be fooled by this hike. it starts off easy with steady inclines and unnoticeable downhill trails for the entire 3 mile hike to the overlook. coming back (on the same trail) is when you notice the uphill treks. stop. breathe. <wink> have funnnn.

Santa Ynez Waterfall/Rock-Rope Climb Trail (Verada...off Palisades Dr.)
Commentary: ...the waterfall trail is pretty much a consistent elevation throughout until u get to the rocks. there used to be four ropes at four different parts of the trail near the waterfall, but two of the ropes have been slashed (for safety reasons to prevent people from climbing them). that said, however, people still climb them. the first former rope area is a smaller rock maybe 5ft high. it's very slippery w/out the rope so be careful if you choose to climb it.
